Association” Membership
Hookwood’s unique Association
was formed in 2011 following the success of a Village Fete and Fun Day. It
involved every member of the community; it raised resident’s spirits and
attitude. The Fun Day brought local people together and helped promote Hookwood
as a community of caring, energetic people from all walks of life.
JOIN US:
Membership costs £10 per year and enables you to get fully involved in
all aspects of promoting “Hello Hookwood” as well as providing an active social
scene.
It’s a thriving, safe environment for people of all age groups to; we encourage the development of confidence, self esteem and performance skills. You help to make something work on behalf of your community.
Make new friends, get involved, and improve or learn new skills whilst having FUN!
We meet regularly to discuss, plan and make it work, a number of small
events during the year which cumulates in the major event of “Hello Hookwood”.
There are lots of jobs you could be responsible for or working in a team
helping to promote and raise funds.
A Newsletter is also being planned.
SOCIAL SCENE:
Already in the planing for 2011-12: Post main event Supper, Visit to the Pantomine, Canal boat trip with supper, Easter Egg Trail through the wood’s, Casino Night, Christmas party with mince pies.
And under consideration : Race Night, Walk in the Blue Bell woods, Trip to Denbies Wine Estate, Trip to the dog track ,Trip to Wealden & Downland Museum, Visit to the Tower of London, Visit to the House of Parliment and there are a few more !
